Not at all. Our congregation is made up of both Jewish and Gentile believers worshipping side by side. This is what the Scriptures call the "one new man" in Messiah. If you feel drawn to the Biblical roots of the faith, you belong here regardless of your background.

A warm welcome, the weekly Torah portion read aloud, worship music, prayer, and a teaching from the Scriptures - usually running one to two hours. Come as you are; there is no insider knowledge required to follow along, and someone will gladly walk you through anything that's unfamiliar.

No formal dress code. Most of the congregation dresses modestly, approaching business casual. Some congregants choose to wear traditional garments during worship; that is a matter of personal conviction rather than a requirement.

Absolutely. Ba-Peretz is a family-oriented fellowship, and children of every age are part of our gatherings. We want kids to grow up watching the Word read, sung, and lived out by the people around them.

Not at all! You will hear some Hebrew woven into our prayers, blessings, and worship. Many in the congregation pick up familiar words over time, but our teachings and conversations are in English. Anything central to following along will be explained.

We hold the same core convictions about Yeshua (Jesus) that you would find across the historic Christian faith; being that He is the promised Messiah, fully God and fully man, who died and rose for our salvation. What sets us apart is that we worship within the rhythms He Himself observed: keeping Shabbat on Saturday, honoring the biblical feasts, and reading the whole of Scripture the way the early Jewish believers did.

Our congregation centers its calendar on the seven biblical feasts the Lord appointed in Leviticus chapter 23, including Passover, which carries the same story of redemption that Easter commemorates. Though not a point of contention, we do not celebrate Christmas nor Easter.

You are welcome here. Some of the most meaningful seasons in this congregation have started with someone simply showing up with questions. Our elders are glad to talk through anything you're wrestling with - there is no expectation that you have it all sorted out before walking in the door!

Yes. We currently hold live services every last Saturday of the month, while the rest are held remotely via Zoom. Regardless if you cannot make it to our live sessions, you can still tune in remotely. We always share links to our services with everyone on our email list, so you can join us from wherever you are. Sign up to join the ministry and the links will start coming to your inbox.

There are several good entry points: our midweek prayer service on Wednesday evenings, our Judaic Studies offerings, and one-on-one conversation with the elders. As you settle into the community, we would love to give you ample opportunities to become more involved.
