Our Story
Born of a hunger for the Word.
What is now Ba-Peretz Messianic Ministries began as a small circle of believers. It consisted of congregants who wanted more than a routine. They wanted a deeper knowledge of the Scriptures and a closer walk with the God of Israel.
As that fellowship grew, the family name Peretz, which had drawn the original community together, took on a weight none of us anticipated... what began as a surname became a calling.
For years the congregation was shepherded by Rabbin Deborah Brandt; an extraordinary teacher, mentor, and friend whose love for the Word and for her people shaped every season of our growth.
In August of 2024, Rabbin Deborah went home to be with the Lord. She carried plans and aspirations for this congregation that were unfinished, and the responsibility of carrying them forward was entrusted to us. With heavy hearts but sure steps, we picked up the torch.
It was in that moment that the deeper meaning of the name Ba-Peretz ("in the gap" or "in the breach" ) became clear. To stand in the gap is to take up the unending work of evangelism and discipleship, and to pursue every redeemed soul the Lord places before us. That is the work to which we have been called.
