BA-PERETZ (STANDING IN THE GAP)
The ministry of Ba-Peretz started as a group of congregants whom had a strong desire for knowledge and a deeper relationship with their Lord.
The family name Peretz has carried deeper meaning to the congregation as our relationship with the Lord strengthened.
Originally under the leadership of Rabbin Deborah Brandt, this congregation thrived with fellowship under the guidance of an incredible teacher, mentor, and friend.
In August 2024, Rabbin Deborah Brandt passed, with plans and aspirations for the congregation continuing. With heavy hearts, the torch of the ministry has been handed down to us to keep these dreams afloat and to bring them to completion through finding redeemed souls.
Thus the true meaning of the name Ba-Peretz (“Standing in the Gap”) was realized; we stand in the gap to fill the role of this unending evangelical duty.
He withdrew his hand, and his brother came out; so she said, “How did you manage to break out first?” Therefore, he was named Peretz (“breakthrough”).
